Companionship Providers often possess certifications in first aid awareness and food safety awareness courses, as well as an Infection control in care course. Companionship Providers are well-prepared to provide comprehensive care and support to seniors, promoting their safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

Q. How often can Companionship Providers be provided?
The frequency and duration of companionship services can vary based on individual needs and preferences. Some individuals may benefit from a few hours of companionship per week, while others may require daily visits.

Q. Do you provide services to those in retirement homes or hospitals?
Yes. CDN ElderCare can provide Eldercare Massage &/or Companionship to residents at retirement homes, extended care homes and hospitals who may desire additional attention or personalized care.

Q. Is there a written care plan for each client? Is it modified and if so, how often?
The local CDN Eldercare office develops an individualized and completely confidential treatment & care plan for each client. The purpose is to document the type of services needed and when the client would like to initiate their session(s). Once the client and or family members agree on the type of session(s), the office staff will use that information to recommend the CDN ElderCare who will be delivering the service, establish the schedule and agree to the monitoring and communication.

Sessions are reviewed with the client and family at least every six months. The review is an important process to ensure the client is receiving the appropriate amount of care and is pleased with the CDN Eldercare Provider providing the care.

Q. How much does companionship care typically cost?

If there is any doubt, we always suggest getting a doctor’s approval, even though the massage techniques that are used are gentle strokes and comforting touches to ease their physical discomfort they may be having.
